Many of us yearn for moments of peace in our busy lives. Restorative Yoga is a practice of intentional rest. A refuge from the demands of daily life. Embark on a journey of deep rest and enhanced wellbeing through Restorative Yoga and Meditation.
In this quiet practice we harness the power of stillness. The body is supported by props (bolsters/pillows/blankets/yoga blocks etc) allowing us to gently release all strain and effort. We take time out and allow the nervous system to balance and find its restful state. The breath softens and the mind calms. We experience peace and spaciousness.
Restorative Yoga offers the experience of deep and nourishing relaxation, respite from the many different roles we play in life, the juggling of multiple priorities and the sense of stress and overwhelm we can often feel. Helping the body integrate and heal.
It also provides a gradual, inward journey to a relaxed, centred and more grounded experience of ourselves. The practice creates the opportunity to release from doing and soften into just being.
At Anvaya Yoga. Restorative Yoga classes are 60 minutes and every class closes with a meditation practice for a total self-care experience.
