"I am lucky enough to attend many of Kim’s yoga classes and whenever I walk into her welcoming shala, I immediately begin to feel a sense of calmness and ease. Kim has created a beautiful space that is very conducive to practice yoga, be it Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin or Restorative. Kim’s way of teaching is attentive and collaborative which, in my experience, leads to a very harmonious energy in the shala.
I have been practicing yoga for a few years and I believe I have now found my yoga home at Anvaya Yoga. I am constantly learning from Kim - each class brings an additional tweak to my practice. I look forward to every class, knowing I will feel energised, restored and renewed when I leave. Thank you Kim”

“Starting yoga with Kim more than a year ago has changed my life. I was a moderately active 51 year old who could not walk without pain, was lethargic and just not living my best life. Practicing yoga a few times a week at Anvaya has made me feel like a 20 year old again; my body feels strong and energized but more than that, my mind feels calm and centred and I feel motivated to fully participate in my life in a way I really have never felt.
Kim is teaching me to sense how my body feels and what it needs, and for this I am eternally grateful. Her classes seamlessly focus on the needs of the group and individuals in it, and have become a primary place where my physical, mental and spiritual needs are nourished. She has taught me when not to push myself too far and therefore hurt myself, but also to push past my comfort barrier and really grow in strength in a way I never have.
In both the Hatha and Yin practices I do at Anvaya, Kim has taught me how to listen to the minute messages my body gives me, let go and surrender into the natural state my muscles and body wants to be in but has forgotten for many, many years. What I did not expect was this 'surrendering' practice to permeate into every facet of my life, which has had an extraordinary impact on my overall health, and therefore the overall health of my home life and family.

“I have been practicing Hatha Yoga with Kim Dixon for almost two years. The yoga space she has created at the shala, located in Earlwood, is unlike any city-based yoga space I've practiced in before. You enter the shala via a tranquil garden, into a comforting, supported space, with soft carpeting, to cushion feet and knees, and white-washed walls, decorated with beautiful fabrics and candles placed throughout. It is a place of reflection - with gentle breezes, and scent of garden blooms, currently frangipani, and the soft tinkling of wind chimes, adds to the sense of place Kim has created. For me, attending my yoga practice here is an absolutely joy, and by stepping out of my daily routine into this sanctuary of light and energy, I can reset my day, relax and unwind, and find time for myself to truly commit to my yoga time with the small class sizes.“

“Kim’s classes are so well thought out.
It’s a friendly and supportive space. I’ve tried to get back into yoga many times over the years, but Kim’s classes are the best I’ve found.“
