Strengthen and Balance Body, Mind and Spirit

Do you:

  • Plan to prioritise your wellbeing?

  • Want to build physical strength, flexibility, balance and vitality?

  • Seek a sustainable practice that won’t burn you out over time?

  • Feel anxious, stressed and seek to sooth anxiety and calm the nerves?

  • Crave peace of mind, time out?

Did you know that Hatha yoga meets all these needs and more?

Hatha yoga is an effective way to strengthen the mind and body through the practice of mindful movements, conscious breathing, and constructive rest.

It has provided total well-being for people across the world for centuries, outlasting many fitness trends and fads. It is a proven, sustainable practice that is suitable for every body.

Practicing yoga during challenging times also helps alleviate stress.

Yoga is a pathway to enduring change.

  • It will change how you feel, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, enhancing vitality, happiness, equanimity, and overall wellbeing.

  • You will be stronger, more flexible, more stable, with improved posture and balance.

  • It teaches us calmness, helps relieve anxiety, release sadness and grieving and encourages relaxation.

Yoga changes our relationship with ourselves.

  • It teaches us to listen to the body’s natural intelligence and to move mindfully, aligning breath and movement.

  • We begin to take better care of ourselves by preferring nourishing, seasonal food, drinking abundant fresh water and reducing or eliminating unhealthy habits.

At Anvaya Yoga, we practice classical Hatha yoga poses such as Downward Facing Dog and Cobra, along with sequences like Sun Salutations. Our four-week cycle allows participants to regularly experience familiar poses, engage in flowing movements, and be challenged by less familiar poses.

Throughout this cycle, we focus on different parts of the body. This keeps our practice balanced, interesting and prevents the mind from drifting into autopilot. Props such as blocks, yoga straps and yoga blankets help each person achieve or modify a pose so that it accessible for their body.

Students are advised to focus on their sensations during a pose, rather than its appearance.

Focusing on enjoyment through curious and light-hearted practice, our yoga connects us – making us more vital, kind, and engaged.
